French Toast GF/Vegan/Top 9 Free
There's nothing better than starting your morning with a warm plate of French toast — especially when it's made with my fluffy buns dipped in rich pancake batter. This recipe combines the best of both worlds: soft bread with a crisp, golden crust that's perfect for syrup, jam, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
Ingredients:
Buns (or any bread of choice) (recipe)
Prepared pancake batter (recipe)
Coconut oil or vegan butter for cooking
Toppings: Syrup, powdered sugar, fruit, or jam
Instructions:
Heat a well-oiled or buttered pan over medium-high heat. (These pans cook evenly and heat quickly)
Dip each bun (or bread slice) into the prepared pancake batter, ensuring both sides are well coated.
Place the coated buns into the heated pan.
Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
If using thicker bread, use tongs to cook the sides for even browning.
Serve hot with your favorite toppings like syrup, powdered sugar, fruit, or jam.
